The Aloha Section PGA | Rolex Player of the Year Points identifies the most competitive professional of the Aloha Section PGA during the tournament season of January 1 – December 31.
The criteria for earning this honor is based on points awarded during individual stroke play tournaments approved by the Section’s Tournament Committee. Bonus points may be earned if a member wins the overall tournament in the 110 and 160 point category. The Section Championship does not qualify for bonus points. At the end of the season, the top two finishes will earn exemptions into the Monday Qualifier for the SONY OPEN IN HAWAII. Players who earn an exemption must be in good standing and approved by the Aloha Section PGA.

Points will be awarded in the order of how players finish in the field. If non-members are commingled with Section members, the section member who finishes the highest in the field will earn the 1st place points and so on down the list.
Sony Open Exemption
The Section Championship and the Stroke Play Championship, also known as PNC Qualifier, is two events combined into one. Long ago, when it was called the Club Professional Championship (CPC), the Section decided to combine events to save costs for members. Therefore, the Section Championship was played the same time as the CPC with one entry fee but double the points. The Section Champion from this event will earn a spot in the SONY OPEN IN HAWAII at Waialae.
The Senior Section Player of the Year Points identifies the most competitive senior professional of the Aloha Section PGA during the tournament season of January 1 – December 31.

If a member wins the event, additional points will be earned as bonus points. For team events, the winning team must be a member/member-team to earn the additional bonus points.
