Lahaina, HI – The final round of the Kā’anapali Classic Pro-Pro was played this morning on the Kā’anapali Royal Course, where 70 professionals battled it out for the $10,000 purse.
Eric Dugas, PGA and Elliot Gouveia, PGA of Makena Golf & Beach Club carded six birdies and an eagle on hole 6, finishing with a two-day total of (123) to capture the 2018 Kā’anapali Classic Pro Pro title today. They will take home $2200. Team “Kevin” (Kevin Hayashi, PGA and Kevin Carll, PGA) posted eight birdies and two eagles on holes 6 and 12, placing them comfortably in second place with a two-day total of (127). They will share $1600 for second place. Defending champions, TJ Kua and Todd Rego finished six strokes off the lead with a two-day total of 129.
Thirty-five teams played in this annual event, which Kā’anapali has hosted for over 14 years. PGA Head Professional Sutee Nikatorn comments, “We are grateful to work with the Aloha Section for hosting a great event for our local PGA Professionals.”
